Michael Gee

Fuel Scientist at Shell

There are so many diverse careers out there, and the definition of what a ‘scientist’ does today is vastly different to my expectations at school, when I first decided to study Chemistry. My job literally gives people access to the energy they need to get from A to B. My team does cutting edge research and we are now looking into alternative energy sources, such as electric and hydrogen. I want to help to promote careers in STEM for future scientists and engineers, because there are still so many challenges left to solve.
